On June, the 17th, 2011, the Val-de-Marne development agency renewed its Orientation and Monitoring Committee and elected as Chairman Pascal Savoldelli, Vice-President of the General Council of Val-de-Marne, in charge of finances, legal and legacy cases and economic development.
The Val de Marne development agency, association created by the General Council to promote Val-de-Marne as the economic place to be, has outstanding governance. 2/3 of the Orientation and Monitoring Committee are business leaders, in order to bring together private and public decision-makers for a same goal: driving economic energy.
This renewal was this occasion for the Orientation and Monitoring Committee to re-affirm its confidence in Marc Spielrein as chairman of the board of directors and to nominate Jöel Gayssot as a member of the board of directors.
At the end of the Committee, Marc Spielrein thanked Laurent Garnier, the previous chairman of the Orientation and Monitoring Committee, for the accomplished work: “with Laurent Garnier, the Agency has become an important economic force for the development of Val-de-Marne. Since its creation, it’s about 4300 businessmen and 219 companies which have been supported and assisted for their development.”
Pascal Savoldelli said “Val-de-Marne is a more and more important department in Ile-de-France, especially with the new Grand-Paris place. As the chairman of the Orientation and Monitoring Committee, I’m very satisfied to continue to develop its reputation thanks to the actions organized by the Val de Marne development agency”.
