Created late 2003 as an Orientation and Monitoring Committee association on the initiative of the General Council of Val-de-Marne, the Val-de-Marne Development Agency brings together and mobilizes public and private players for the purpose of :

• promoting the economic image of the Val de Marne “Department” (there are 100 French “département” in France),
• consolidating and enhancing the “eco-system” of corporate world ,
• supporting innovation.

The board of directors is chaired by Marc Spielrein, President of the Semmaris, and the Orientation and Monitoring Committee (COS) is chaired by Laurent Garnier, Vice-President of the General Council and President of SADEV 94. The other members of the board are :

The Prefect of the Val-de-Marne Department and the President of the General Council, as honorary members, are invited to attend the consultative works of the COS (article 11, paragraph 2). The three representatives of the territory commission participate in the COS with advisory opinion capacity : Mr Gosnat, Mrs Piau and Mr Spilbauer (article 8, paragraph 2).
